Working with traditional corded hedge trimmers often results in tangled cables and the need to constantly reposition extension cords. The DUN600LZ battery-powered pole hedge trimmer eliminates this issue, offering complete freedom of movement in the garden. Powered by the 18V LXT system, the tool allows trimming of both low and high vegetation directly from ground level, without the need for ladders. The total length of the device is 2050 mm, which, combined with its lightweight construction (weight ranging from 3.7 to 4.3 kg depending on the battery used), significantly reduces operator fatigue during longer maintenance sessions.

Brushless Motor Performance and Cutting Flexibility

The heart of this device is a brushless DC motor (BLDC), which not only extends the tool's lifespan but also ensures consistent power even under heavy load. A key feature is the three-stage electronic stroke frequency control, which adapts operation to the type of vegetation being trimmed. Users can choose between a low-speed mode (up to 2000/min), ideal for delicate shaping and cutting wet branches; a versatile medium setting (up to 3600/min); or maximum performance (up to 4400/min) designed for quickly removing dense foliage.

The blade length is 60 cm, and its double cutting edge with a 35 mm blade gap enables effective cutting of branches up to 23.5 mm thick. Notably, the reverse rotation function – activated by a dedicated button – allows immediate blade opening in case of branch jamming, which is invaluable when working in dense plantings. Additionally, the blade tip guard prevents dangerous kickbacks, enhancing user safety.

Working Comfort and Weather Resistance

The trimmer's design prioritizes ergonomics. The comfortable loop handle ensures a secure grip and better control of the tool when working overhead or at an angle. The XPT (eXtended Protection Technology) system protects the internal components from dust and moisture, allowing safe operation in challenging weather conditions. The tool also features an electric brake that immediately stops the blade after releasing the trigger, and the main switch includes an automatic shut-off function for added safety.

Operating time depends on the selected speed and the capacity of the installed battery. When using a 6.0 Ah battery (LXT series), users can expect approximately 180 minutes of continuous operation at the lowest speed (2000/min). In the medium mode (3600/min), this drops to around 80 minutes, while at maximum performance (4400/min), the tool operates for about 55 minutes. Please note that the product is supplied as a "body" – the set includes only the trimmer with blade guard and a 4 mm hex key, but does not include batteries or charger. The tool is compatible with most LXT series Li-Ion batteries with capacities ranging from 1.5 Ah to 6.0 Ah (excluding models BL1811G, BL1813G, BL1815G, and BL1815). The noise level during operation is approximately 82.5 dB(A), and vibrations are limited to below 4 m/s² for the front handle and below 3 m/s² for the rear handle, resulting in reduced strain on the operator's nervous system.
