This 8-channel KNX actuator is a compact device designed to control various circuits in building automation systems. The device is powered directly from the KNX bus, eliminating the need for a separate power supply.

The KAA-8R-10S actuator allows control of lighting, blinds, shutters, heating and ventilation systems. Thanks to independent, bistable relays, each channel can be configured to handle different types of loads – resistive, inductive or capacitive. This is a versatile solution for professionals and users who value flexibility and reliability.

Functionality and safety

The device is programmed using ETS5.0 software, providing full control over its operation and integration with the entire KNX system. Additionally, manual control is available using a button on the housing – useful during testing or in emergency situations. The latest version of the actuator supports the KNX Data Secure function, which provides protection against manipulation in the building automation system. This is particularly important in applications requiring a high level of data security.

The actuator has 8 switching channels, allowing control of many circuits independently of each other. The ability to program different time functions and scenarios allows you to create advanced automations tailored to individual user needs. The design with a modular width of 4 units (72 mm) makes it easy to mount on a 35 mm DIN rail in an electrical panel.

Specifications and applications

The KAA-8R-10S actuator is characterized by a rated current of 10A per channel for resistive loads and 5A for inductive loads (AC3). The maximum total current for all channels is 56A. The device meets the safety standards BS EN/EN50491-3 and BS EN/EN60669-1, ensuring safe and reliable operation. It is designed to operate at temperatures from -30°C to +45°C and humidity from 10% to 95% RH (without condensation).
