PVC-C elbow fitting – reliability and durability of installation
A 90° elbow fitting made of chlorinated polyvinyl chloride (PVC-C) is a connecting element for pipes in water, air conditioning and industrial installations. Made of high-quality material, it ensures long-lasting and trouble-free operation, corrosion resistance and prevention of scale build-up. The outer diameter of 22.2 mm makes the elbow compatible with pipes with a diameter of 3/4 inch.
Application and properties of PVC-C material
PVC-C is a material with exceptional properties, ideal for use in demanding conditions. It is characterized by high chemical resistance – it is inert to the action of several hundred chemical compounds, making it an excellent choice for industrial installations. In addition, its physiological and microbiological properties guarantee safety of use in drinking water installations. The maximum operating temperature is 80°C (emergency 95°C), and the working pressure at +23°C is 2.76 MPa for diameters up to 2 inches.
The elbow is assembled using aggressive adhesives (cold welding), which ensures a quick and safe connection without the need for specialized tools or electricity. The connection is durable – the service life of a PVC-C installation is estimated at a minimum of 50 years. The design of the fitting minimizes local flow resistance, ensuring smooth flow of the medium in the installation.
