PVC-C 45° Elbow – Reliability and Durability in Water Systems
This elbow, made of chlorinated polyvinyl chloride (PVC-C), is designed to create 45-degree connections in water installations. It is characterized by high resistance to corrosion, scale build-up, and the action of many chemical compounds, guaranteeing long-lasting and trouble-free operation. The elbow is intended for connecting pipes with a diameter of 1/2 inch, making it an ideal solution for both domestic and industrial installations.
Properties and Application
The NIBCO® PVC-C FlowGuard® elbow is perfect for hot and cold water distribution systems, as well as air conditioning and industrial installations. The PVC-C material provides resistance to temperatures up to 80°C (with short-term resistance to 95°C), as well as high working pressure – up to 2.76 MPa for a diameter of 1/2 inch. The fitting is connected using aggressive adhesives, ensuring a tight and durable connection. Fast bonding time (up to 1 minute) translates into time savings during installation. Additionally, the ability to connect to other installation systems thanks to available threaded and flanged elements increases project flexibility.
Advantages for Installers and Users
- Strength and Longevity: The PVC-C material guarantees the durability of the installation for at least 50 years.
- Chemical Resistance: No worries about the action of aggressive substances – the elbow is resistant to several hundred chemical compounds.
- Hygiene and Safety: The physiological and microbiological inertness of the material ensures safety for health.
- Quick Installation: Bonding allows for quick and safe connection without the need for specialized tools or electricity.
- Noise Reduction: Vibration and noise damping properties ensure quieter operation of the installation.
- Lightweight: Several times lighter than traditional materials, making it easier to transport and install.
- Smooth Inner Surface: Reduces flow resistance, allowing for reduced pipe diameters.
- Thermal Insulation: Limits heat loss and the risk of condensation on cold water pipes.
- Fire Safety: Does not support the combustion process, increasing safety.
- No Galvanic Corrosion: Electrical insulation prevents electrochemical corrosion, especially in underground installations.
- Structural Rigidity: Pipes are rigid which affects the aesthetics of the installation
The NIBCO® elbow is an investment in a reliable and durable installation that will serve for years of trouble-free operation.
