Advanced control module for optimal comfort

The NIBE SMO 40 control module is the central element of the heating, cooling and domestic hot water production system. Designed to work with NIBE air source heat pumps, it provides comprehensive management of the installation in single-family homes and larger properties. Its advanced functions allow for flexible adaptation of the system to individual needs, as well as optimization of energy consumption.

System versatility and flexibility

SMO 40 allows control not only of heating and cooling, but also of hot water production and ventilation. Thanks to the built-in expansion card, it is possible to connect additional elements, such as a peak heat source (e.g. electric or gas boiler), an additional heating circuit, a DHW circulation pump, a 4-pipe cooling system or a heat pump cascade (up to 4 units). The ability to connect up to eight NIBE air source heat pumps ensures system scalability and adaptation to changing needs.

Intelligent energy and comfort management

The SMO 40 module offers intelligent climate control in rooms, automatically adjusting the temperature to user preferences and external conditions. Integration with the Internet (via myUplink or myuplink.com) allows for remote monitoring and control of the system, which increases ease of use and allows for effective energy management. This makes the installation a key element of a smart home.

System expansion possibilities

SMO 40 works with a wide range of NIBE accessories, such as communication modules, variable speed circulation pumps, three-way valves or solar groups. This allows you to create a comprehensive and optimized heating system, tailored to the specific conditions of the building and user expectations. In addition, the module allows integration with Building Management Systems (BMS).
