Current Control Relay – Reliable Protection and Load Monitoring
Current control relay RMT-101 is a versatile device designed for continuous monitoring of the effective current value in single-phase circuits. Its main function is to disconnect the load when a defined current threshold is exceeded, thereby providing effective protection against overloads. The device works well in both industrial applications and home installations where precise current consumption control is required.
Functionality and Application
RMT-101 offers a wide range of possibilities. It can function as a digital ammeter, a current-limiting relay, or a priority load relay. This makes it a universal tool for installers and end-users looking for a comprehensive solution for monitoring and protecting electrical installations. Measurement is performed without the need to interrupt the circuit, which simplifies installation and operation. The built-in current transformer ensures measurement accuracy in the range of 0 to 100A.
Flexible Settings and Intuitive Operation
The relay allows precise adjustment of operating parameters to specific application needs. The user can set:
- Maximum permissible load current threshold – in the range of 0 to 10 A or 0 to 100 A.
- Time to disconnect the load after exceeding the maximum current threshold.
- Delay time for load activation after the current returns to an acceptable level.
These settings are made using potentiometers on the front panel of the device, providing intuitive and convenient operation. Additionally, LEDs on the panel indicate the load status (on/off) and exceeding the maximum current threshold. The LED display shows the current value, the maximum recorded current since the last reset, the set parameters, and the remaining time to turn on/off the load.
Construction and Mounting
The RMT-101 relay has been designed for easy mounting in electrical distribution boards on a DIN rail (3 modules). The robust housing provides protection against external factors, and the terminals allow connection of wires with a cross-section of 0.3 to 3.3 mm². The device meets the requirements of IEC 60947-1:2004, IEC 60947-6-2:1992 and CISPR 11:2004 standards, guaranteeing its reliability and safety of use.
