The OBO BETTERMANN type 1809 M potential equalization bar is a key element ensuring effective protection against overvoltage and equalization of potentials in electrical installations. Designed for both domestic and industrial applications, it meets the requirements of DIN VDE 0100-410 / -540 and DIN VDE 0185-305 standards, guaranteeing the safety of people and equipment. Construction and technical parameters

The 1809 M bar is characterized by a solid construction based on a steel base with a galvanized tape and a contact strip made of nickel-plated brass. A polystyrene cover (grey) protects against accidental contact and allows the bar to be sealed or labeled. Thanks to this combination of materials, the bar is corrosion-resistant and ensures long-term reliability.

The bar allows the connection of up to seven rigid conductors with a cross-section of up to 25 mm², one round conductor with a diameter of 8-10 mm and one flat conductor 30 mm, providing flexibility during installation and adaptation to the specifics of the installation. The ability to carry lightning currents up to 100 kA (10/350) confirms its effectiveness in lightning protection systems. Its dimensions are 52 mm wide, 43 mm high and 188 mm long. It is made of galvanized steel (base), nickel-plated brass (contact strip) and has a grey polystyrene cover.
