This vertical conductor, made of aluminum, is a key element of the lightning protection system. It serves to intercept atmospheric discharges and safely discharge current to ground, minimizing the risk of damage to structures and equipment. Construction and installation
The 101 VL1500 conductor is 1500 mm long and made of AlMgSi aluminum, which provides good electrical conductivity and corrosion resistance. Its conical design, tapering from 16 mm to 10 mm in diameter over the last meter, optimizes the discharge interception process. Installation is done using a round wire. For conductors longer than 2.5 meters, it is recommended to use dedicated insulated holders for additional support – this is important to ensure stability and safety in strong wind conditions. The conductor is adapted to wind loads in accordance with Eurocode 1 (DIN EN 1991-1-4).
Application and compatibility
This model of conductor is dedicated to working with the FangFix base system, guaranteeing full compatibility and efficiency of the entire lightning protection system. It is suitable for use in new installations as well as an element of modernization of existing lightning protection systems. The raw surface finish allows for color matching to the surroundings or protection with additional anti-corrosion coatings. The lack of high-voltage insulation means that this conductor is intended for use in places where there are no direct hazards related to electrical voltage.
