PiroCoat I is intended for the protective sealing of wall and floor penetrations of steel, copper, and cast iron pipes, whether uninsulated or insulated with PE foam (in combination with the Multitube collar). It can also be used to seal wall and floor penetrations of small-diameter combustible pipes, stabilized with glass or aluminum.
PiroCoat I is a single-component swelling paste, which is an aqueous dispersion of synthetic resin. The coating made from this mass swells under the influence of high temperatures during a fire, creating a foamed, fire-resistant thermal insulation layer on the protected surface.
