Weather and mechanical resistance

A rubber extension strip with a length of 10 meters is essential equipment for every workshop, construction site, or location requiring a temporary extension of the electrical network range. The cable made to the OW (H05RR-F) standard - a flexible rubber cord - excels where ordinary office extension cords quickly fail.

The rectangular plastic housing in black (RAL 9005) has a matte surface finish.

The IP44 protection rating means the housing is sealed against solid objects above 1 mm and water splashes falling at any angle. While not fully waterproof for immersion, it is sufficient for working in the rain, by a pool, or in a damp basement. The rubber insulation of the cord provides additional protection against moisture and is resistant to typical mechanical damage - abrasions, crushing, or accidental running over by a trolley wheel.

A wire cross-section of 3 × 1,5 mm² with a current capacity of 16 A allows for the connection of devices with significant power consumption - angle grinders, water pumps, compressors, or heating devices. Three CEE 7/3 (Schuko) type sockets enable the simultaneous powering of three devices equipped with plugs featuring a grounding pin - a standard in most power tools and household appliances.

Application and practical benefits

The ten-meter cable eliminates the problem of inaccessible wall sockets when performing work far from the electrical installation. On a construction site, it allows for free movement between rooms without dragging a generator; in the garden, it enables powering power tools where there is no permanent power point; in a garage or car workshop, it proves useful during repairs requiring movement between workstations.

The rubber construction of the cord maintains flexibility even at lower temperatures - it does not stiffen as quickly as the PVC cabling used in cheaper extension cords. The H05RR-F cord is adapted for continuous operation under load.

The absence of a mains switch is a deliberate simplification of the design - it eliminates one potential point of failure. Similarly, savings were made on the interference filter and surge protection; these functions are performed by dedicated devices installed earlier in the circuit or offered as separate system components.

The product operates at a voltage of 230 V AC with a nominal current of 16 A. The three-core cable with a cross-section of 3 × 1,5 mm² provides an adequate power reserve for typical workshop devices. The rectangular shape of the housing makes it easy to place against a wall or on the floor; the design is free of unnecessary extras - the entire unit is focused on reliability, not aesthetics.
