Universal dimmer for incandescent, halogen, and LED loads SONATA KASZMIR ŁP-8RL2/M/82
Universal dimmer with elegant cashmere finish
Cashmere color — a delicate blend of beige and gray — doesn’t shout, it whispers. It’s the choice for those who want hardware to blend into the interior, not stand out. It harmonizes with wooden surfaces, minimalist walls, and classic details without overpowering or disappearing. It’s not just a color choice — it’s a subtle form of discreet luxury.
This dimmer exemplifies this approach: no backlighting, no glimmers — its form and craftsmanship speak for themselves. The rotary knob operates smoothly, without vibration, and its shape allows precise brightness control even in low light. It supports incandescent bulbs up to 250W, halogen lamps up to 400W, and LEDs up to 100W — but not all LEDs. Remember: it performs best with high-quality, branded LEDs. Too cheap or non-specialist LEDs may flicker or respond inconsistently; this is not a device fault but a mismatch with the light source.
Installation and features for electricians
No guesswork needed to locate wire insulation — a clear scale mark is visible on the back of the base. Side wire exits allow inspection of connections even after the module is mounted in the box — without unscrewing. Threaded terminals are robust yet require no excessive force: wires slide in smoothly and hold securely. The red button on the power terminal? Not decorative — it enables quick identification during work in darkness or with multiple cables.
Self-returning spring clips with stainless steel springs deliver a satisfying “click” — the module slides into the box without jerking and stays firmly in place during later work. The frame installs and removes in seconds thanks to a quick-release cover — saving time on every job. Spacing elements on the bridges ensure perfect alignment when mounting multiple modules — no ruler needed.
What to know before installation
The knob has no backlighting — so if nighttime visibility matters, you must address this separately (e.g., via ambient lighting). It does not support OSPEL.S wireless dimmers — this device functions only as a classic rotary dimmer. Features like “time to bed” (auto-shutoff after delay) and stairwell operation are available — but only when connected to a compatible control system (e.g., another OSPEL module). The unit itself does not generate these functions.
The IP20 protection rating means: for dry indoor use only. Do not install in bathrooms or kitchens without additional protection.
This device is not “the best” or “the newest.” It is simple, proven, and built to operate reliably for years — quietly and without failure.
