Stationary switchboard type SUWAŁKI M32 inlet, 32/5 3x16/5 5xGS outlet, without protection, IP44 90277515W
A practical solution for power distribution on construction sites
The SUWAŁKI series stationary distribution board is a device dedicated for permanent installation, allowing for the safe and organized distribution of electrical energy in outdoor conditions. Its primary task is to provide power to multiple devices simultaneously, eliminating the need for dangerous extension cords. The housing, made of plastic (PC/ABS), ensures resistance to mechanical damage and atmospheric conditions, which is crucial when working in a demanding construction environment. The IP44 protection rating guarantees that the interior of the distribution board is protected against the ingress of solid objects larger than 1 mm and against water splashes from any direction, allowing it to be installed under a roof or in areas exposed to rain.
Socket configuration and connection flexibility
The device has been designed to handle the typical power needs of modern construction equipment. Inside, there is a set of CEE power sockets with various rated currents, allowing for the simultaneous connection of both smaller tools and heavier machinery. The installer will find one 32A socket (5-pin), which is ideal for connecting power generators, concrete mixers, or larger pumps. This is supplemented by three 16A sockets (5-pin) intended for standard power tools such as rotary hammers, circular saws, or drills. Additional flexibility is provided by five GS-type (Schuko) sockets, dedicated to 230V devices, e.g., temporary lighting or smaller hand tools.
It is worth noting that the distribution board is supplied without built-in protections (no circuit breakers or RCDs). This means that the installer must ensure appropriate protection for the supply circuit and any additional RCD protections inside the housing or at the power source, adjusting them to the specifics of the work and required health and safety (H&S) standards. Such a solution provides full freedom to configure the electrical layout according to the specific needs of the investment.
Construction and ease of installation
The housing has dimensions of 297 x 520 x 165 mm, making it a compact unit that is easy to mount on the wall of a temporary building or a structural pole. A key element facilitating the installer's work is the cable entry system: the main entry is implemented via an M32 hole, allowing for the connection of a power cable with an appropriate cross-section, and an M40 hole is also available, which can serve as an additional entry or exit for distribution cables.
A brass threaded insert and stainless steel screws have been used to prevent corrosion in the humid construction environment. The housing features the possibility of sealing and locking with a key, which increases security against unauthorized access to the electrical installation by third parties. The housing material is resistant to UV radiation and temperatures ranging from -25°C to +40°C, ensuring the device can be operated year-round without loss of mechanical properties.
Application and user benefits
This type of distribution board works excellently as an energy distribution point for work crews requiring power for multiple devices simultaneously. Due to the absence of ready-made internal protections, the installer has full control over the selection of breaker characteristics (e.g., C or D) and the sensitivity of residual current devices (e.g., 30mA for personnel protection), tailoring the layout to the specifics of the machinery operating on the construction site (e.g., motors with high inrush currents). The grey color of the housing allows the device to be aesthetically integrated into temporary infrastructure, while the solid construction ensures long-term operation even under intensive use.
The practical application of individual elements stems directly from their parameters: the 32A socket is used to power generators and heavy construction machinery, while the set of three 16A sockets serves a standard fleet of power tools such as hammers or saws. Five GS sockets provide energy for temporary lighting and small hand tools. The IP44 protection rating enables safe operation under a roof or in light rain without the risk of short circuits from water splashes, and the lack of factory protections gives the installer the possibility of individual configuration of the protection system tailored to local H&S requirements.
