The Piro MULTITUBE Epipe fire culvert is a simple and effective solution for making fireproof sealing of electric cable passages through walls or ceilings. Piro MULTITUBE Epipe is a plastic sleeve with a permanently fixed, on the outside, an expanding insert in the form of a polymer tape with an admixture of graphite and other ingredients, causing it to increase its volume under the action of high temperature, closing the hole together with the sleeve on which it is wound and cables inside the bushing. The principle of operation of the fire culverts is exactly the same as in the case of protection for flammable pipes with the use of fire protection tape. They can also be used to protect small diameter non-flammable pipe bundles in FEF insulation.
