This manual fire alarm, equipped with a glass breaking hammer and a single, flashing red LED, is a reliable signaling device designed to activate the fire alarm. It is an element of the fire alarm system (SSP) that allows for manual initiation of evacuation procedures and notification of the appropriate services.

Construction and operating principle

The ROP-A alarm operates on the principle of short-circuiting the alarm circuit after breaking the protective glass with the included hammer. When activated, contact Y closes and contact X opens, sending a signal to the SSP control panel. Additionally, the flashing LED provides local alarm signaling, informing people nearby of the danger. The device functions as a switch with passive elements in the alarm circuit.

Installation and application

The alarm is designed for wall mounting in easily accessible and visible places, such as corridors, evacuation exits or entrance halls. The national version (marked with "K") has the inscription "BREAK GLASS" and a symbol of a burning building with the inscription "FIRE" on the front panel. This makes it easier to identify the device and its instructions for use in case of danger. Thanks to this, both installers and end users can react quickly and efficiently to emergency situations.
