Manual fire alarm – reliable alarm activation

The ROP-A manual fire alarm is a basic element of a fire alarm system, designed for direct alarm activation when a hazard is detected. The device is type A, which means it is activated manually by physical action – this model does not have a hammer for breaking the glass. It serves to transmit a fire signal to the control panel and local light signaling via an LED.

Construction and principle of operation

The construction of the ROP-A is based on a simple but effective switch mechanism. It has two contacts – X and Y – which change state when the alarm is activated. Contact Y, normally open, is closed in the alarm state, and contact X works in reverse. This configuration ensures reliable transmission of fire information to the system. The device is classified as a switch with passive elements operating in the alarm circuit.

Application and compliance with standards

The ROP-A alarm is used in various facilities requiring a fire alarm system, such as public, industrial, and commercial buildings. It is compatible with conventional fire alarm control panels. It meets the requirements of EN 54-11:2004 + A1:2005 and has a CNBOP-PIB certificate No. 1438/CPR/0338 and Approval Certificate No. 4340/2021 and Declaration of Performance No. 1/2021, which confirms its high quality and safety of use.

Installation and additional information

The alarm is designed for surface mounting. The dimensions of the device are 122 mm x 122 mm x 45 mm. It is made of plastic, which ensures durability and resistance to environmental conditions. This model is available in a domestic version (marked "K") and an export version ("E"). The domestic version has the inscription "ZBIJ SZKŁO" and a symbol of a burning building with the inscription "POŻAR", while the export version has "BREAK GLASS".
