This 6-port PoE switch is an ideal solution for IP surveillance systems, but it will also work in other applications requiring power supply for devices via Ethernet (PoE). It allows simultaneous power supply and data transmission for four IP cameras, while the remaining two ports are used to connect additional network devices, such as recorders or other switches. Automatic detection of PoE/PoE+ devices eliminates the need for manual configuration and ensures compatibility with a wide range of devices.

Functionality and application

The SG64WP switch is designed to work with IP cameras using the IEEE 802.3af/at/bt standards (PoE, PoE+, PoE++). This allows you to power both older and newer camera models, as well as other network devices supporting PoE, such as IP phones, access points or routers. PoE technology simplifies installation by eliminating the need to run separate power cables to each device. The use of the Store-and-Forward transmission method ensures stable and reliable communication on the network.

Technical specifications and construction

The device offers 6 RJ45 ports - 4 with PoE function (1 Gb/s) and 2 UPLINK ports (1 Gb/s) for connection to the network. Each PoE port is able to deliver up to 30W of power, and the total power budget for all PoE ports is 60W. Optical LED signaling informs about the operating status of individual ports. The switch has a standard size housing (118 x 28 x 85 mm) and can be mounted in various configurations thanks to the included mounting plates. Power is supplied via a DC5.5/2.1 socket (48-57V DC) - power adapter must be purchased separately. Protection class II provides additional safety of use. The device operates at a temperature of -10°C to 60°C.
