Backup power system for PoE switches

This backup power system, with a power of 60W and a voltage of 52V DC, is designed to provide uninterrupted power to PoE switches. The design based on a switch-mode power supply with a DC/DC converter guarantees high energy efficiency and stable output voltage, regardless of the battery charge level. The metal housing (RAL9003) houses a 7Ah/12V battery and is equipped with a microswitch indicating opening, which increases safety.

This system is particularly useful in IP surveillance installations, where network continuity is critical. The DC/DC converter allows reducing operating costs by using a single battery. A removable mounting plate (230 x 110 mm) allows easy installation of PoE switches with dimensions up to 230x110x45 mm. The device can operate in two modes: standard and with the ability to select the battery charging current (1A or 2A).

Technical parameters and application

The power supply has an AC 200-240V input and a DC 52V/60W output. The battery charging current is 0.5A. Thanks to this, the system works perfectly in applications requiring reliable power supply for network devices, such as video surveillance or alarm systems. Built-in protections protect both the system and connected devices from damage caused by overvoltages, short circuits or overloads. Additionally, the ability to switch the battery charging current allows you to adjust the operating parameters to the specific requirements of the installation. The weight of the device is about 2.75 kg and its dimensions are 300 x 300 x 105 + 8 mm (+8mm distance from the ground).
