Fire Alarm System Power Supply Module – Reliable Power and Protection

This power supply module, designed for fire alarm systems, provides uninterrupted 27.6 V DC power, crucial for the proper operation of alarm devices and smoke control systems. Applications in fire alarm systems require a stable power source, and this power supply is designed to meet these requirements, offering both continuous and temporary operation. This allows installers to be confident that the system will operate reliably in critical situations.

Design and Functionality

The power supply is designed to work with batteries with a capacity of 17 Ah to 40 Ah, providing flexibility in component selection. It has two independently protected outputs AUX1 and AUX2, providing 27.6 V DC voltage. This solution allows for load distribution and increases the system's resistance to failures. A built-in microprocessor monitors the operating parameters of the power supply and batteries, providing complete diagnostics and automatic temperature compensation for battery charging. Additionally, it offers automatic battery testing and control of their status – voltage, charging and circuit resistance. The applied protections (SCP, OLP, OVP, UVP) protect against short circuits, overloads and over- and undervoltage.

Safety and Compliance with Standards

The module meets the requirements of EN54-4 and EN12101-10 standards, confirming its high quality and reliability in fire alarm applications. It has relay outputs ALARM (collective failure) and EPS (230 V mains voltage failure signal), as well as an EXTi input for connecting external failure signals. Optical signaling (optional EN54M-LED LED panel) informs about the device's operating status. The power supply also has battery protection against deep discharge and low battery voltage indication (LoB). Mounting is on a DIN rail (optional EN54M-DIN1 bracket).
