This power supply module, designated EN54M-5A40-65, is a key element of fire alarm systems, ensuring the continuous operation of devices responsible for safety. Construction and functionality

The module is characterized by a compact design with dimensions of 204 x 141 x 52 mm. It provides a current output of up to 5A during momentary operation and 2.4A during continuous operation, allowing it to power a wide range of fire protection devices. Built-in protections (SCP, OLP, OVP, UVP) protect both the module itself and connected devices from damage caused by overload, short circuit, or excessive or low voltage. The battery charging current is 2.6A. Additionally, it has relay technical outputs (EPS – AC power failure, ALARM – collective failure) and an EXTi – external failure input, allowing integration with other system elements. The device's efficiency reaches 87%, which translates to efficient energy use.

Application and installation

The EN54M-5A40-65 module is used in fire alarm systems requiring reliable backup power. It is ideal for protecting fire alarm control panels, smoke and heat detectors, fire alarms, and other devices responsible for detecting and alerting about a fire. Module installation is simple and convenient – it can be mounted into a housing or onto a DIN rail (EN54M-DIN1 bracket required). Please remember that in order for the power supply to be installed in a fire protection system, it must be placed in a housing with an appropriate construction and supplementary tests must be carried out to verify compliance with PN-EN54-4+A1+A2 or PN-EN12101-10+AC.
