Power supply system for PoE switches

This 150W, 52V DC power supply system is designed to reliably power PoE switches. The design is based on an efficient switch-mode power supply module housed in a durable metal enclosure (RAL 9003 color), guaranteeing stable operation and long life. The device is equipped with a microswitch indicating the opening of the enclosure, which increases safety and protects against unauthorized access.

Solid construction and high efficiency

The power supply is characterized by high efficiency at 88%, which translates to lower energy consumption and less heat loss. The enclosure made of DC01 steel sheet (0.7mm thick) provides durability and resistance to mechanical damage. A removable mounting plate (230 x 110 mm) allows for easy installation of a PoE switch of appropriate dimensions. The use of a varistor as overvoltage protection protects the device against sudden voltage surges in the network.

Comprehensive protection and versatility

The SWS-150 system offers full protection against short circuit (SCP), overload (OLP), and overvoltage (OVP). The short-circuit protection works electronically, providing automatic return to operation after the cause of the short circuit is removed. The OLP protection will activate at a load of 105% to 150% of the power supply power, also with automatic return to normal operation. The power supply is compatible with Pulsar S64, SG64, SFG64, SFG64F1, S108 and SG108 series PoE switches – especially with models marked as WP (without a factory power supply). The ability to mount a lock on the housing further secures the device against theft or unauthorized access.

This system operates at an input voltage in the range of ~200 – 240 V AC and delivers a PoE output power of 52 V DC and 150 W. The inrush current is 50 A, and the output voltage adjustment range is 48 V – 53 V DC. The device maintains proper operation at a temperature of -10°C to 40°C and air humidity from 5% to 90% RH (without condensation). Its dimensions are 300 x 300 x 113 mm (including distance from the ground), and the net weight is 2.87 kg. It is equipped with DC 2.1/5.5 mm type output connectors and Φ0.63-2.50 (AWG 22-10) input connectors.
