This buffered power supply from Pulsar, model PSB-12V5A, is an ideal solution for systems requiring uninterrupted power. The device provides voltage stabilization of 12V DC (+/-15%) and is designed for use in alarm systems, monitoring, home automation and anywhere where continuous power is critical. Thanks to the ability to switch to battery power in the event of a mains failure, it guarantees uninterrupted operation of connected devices.

The PSB-12V5A power supply offers a current efficiency of up to 5.5A (5A + 0.5A battery charging or 4.5A + 1A battery charging), making it a versatile solution for a variety of applications. High efficiency at 87% translates to minimal energy loss and efficient resource utilization. Built-in protections – short-circuit (SCP), overload (OLP), overvoltage (OVP) and over-discharge (UVP) – ensure the safety of both the power supply itself and the connected devices. Additionally, the LED optical signaling informs about the operating status of the power supply and battery charging. The output voltage can be adjusted in the range of 13.5-14.4 V DC, allowing you to adapt the parameters to specific application requirements. The battery charging current can be switched using a jumper – 0.5A or 1A – which increases the flexibility of the device.

Installation and application

The power supply is designed for mounting inside enclosures and devices. Compact dimensions (129 x 98 x 40 mm) make it easy to integrate with existing systems. The possibility of mounting on a DIN rail (DIN2 bracket required) further increases installation convenience. The power supply is used in alarm systems, access control, video surveillance, building automation and anywhere where reliable power to sensitive devices is required. The optional LED optical signaling set PKAZ168 allows for remote monitoring of the power supply's operating status. The set includes 6.3F battery leads with a length of 45cm and ML062 angle sleeves (5.2mm hole).
