Buffered switch-mode power supply DING2-12V5A by Pulsar is a solid solution designed to provide uninterrupted power to intrusion and hold-up alarm systems (SSWiN) and access control systems (ACS). The device, mounted on a DIN rail, stabilizes the output voltage to 13.8V DC and offers a current of up to 5A, making it an ideal choice for alarm control panels, sensors, coded locks, CCTV cameras and other components of security systems.

Key features and application

DING2-12V5A stands out with its high efficiency (up to 90%) and a range of protections that protect both connected devices and the power supply itself. The START function allows manual activation of the power supply from the battery if necessary. The power supply complies with EN50131-6:2017 (SSWiN) degree 1 and 2 and EN60839-11-2:2015+AC:2015 (ACS) standards, guaranteeing its reliability and safety of use. Thanks to its compact dimensions (176 x 60 x 91 mm) and DIN rail TS-35 mounting, it can be easily integrated with existing infrastructure.

Safety and functionality

The power supply design includes comprehensive protections: short-circuit (SCP), overload (OLP), overvoltage (OVP) and deep discharge of the battery (UVP). Additionally, it has OC type technical outputs signaling AC power failure (EPS) and battery failure (APS). Optical signaling using LEDs informs about the presence of mains voltage, output voltage and any failures. Dynamic battery test and continuous monitoring of the battery circuit and voltage ensure constant monitoring of the battery status. The battery charging current can be adjusted using a jumper – 1A or 2A – adapting it to the specifics of the battery used.
