Buffered power supply HPSB-12V20A-E from Pulsar is a device designed to provide uninterrupted power to monitoring, intercom, alarm systems and other applications requiring a stable voltage. The power supply design allows for mounting a battery with a capacity of up to 65Ah, which guarantees long-term operation even in the event of a mains power failure. Efficiency at the level of 86% translates into effective energy use.

Construction and functionality

The power supply housing is made of DC01 steel sheet with a thickness of 1.0 mm and coated with RAL 9003 paint (white color), which ensures durability and aesthetic appearance. The dimensions of the device (460 x 390 x 173 + 14 mm) allow for easy mounting in standard rack cabinets or enclosures. The power supply has protections against overload (OLP), short circuit (SCP), overvoltage (OVP) and excessive battery discharge (UVP), which protects connected devices and the power supply itself from damage. Additionally, it is equipped with an anti-tamper protection, signaled by a microswitch opening the housing.

Flexibility and operating parameters

The power supply offers adjustable output voltage in the range of 11-13.8 V DC during buffer operation and 10-13.8 V DC during battery operation. The battery charging current is switched using a jumper and can be set to 2A, 4A or 8A, allowing it to be adapted to the specifics of a given battery. Own current consumption is from 15 to 40 mA. The device signals its operation using LEDs located both on the PCB and on the power supply cover. Operation at a temperature of -10°C to +40°C ensures reliability in various environmental conditions.
