The HPSB-48V5A-C pulse buffer power supply is a solid solution to provide uninterrupted power to devices operating at 48V DC. It will be useful in video surveillance (CCTV) systems, access control (KD), burglar and fire alarm systems (SSWiN) and video intercoms. The device is characterized by high efficiency and the ability to cooperate with batteries, guaranteeing continuous operation even in the event of a mains power failure.

Construction and functionality

The HPSB-48V5A-C power supply has been designed with ease of installation and use in mind. The metal housing (IP20) allows for surface mounting, and its design allows for the placement of four 12V batteries with a capacity of 17Ah each inside. The built-in tamper anti-sabotage increases system security by signaling any attempt to open the housing without authorization. Thanks to the adjustable output voltage in the range of 53-56V, it is possible to precisely match the parameters to the requirements of the powered devices. The power supply has protections against overload (OLP), short circuit (SCP), overvoltage (OVP), undervoltage (UVP) and sabotage, which ensures protection for both the power supply and the connected devices.

Parameters and flexibility

The power supply offers an output current of up to 5A at a voltage of 44-54V DC in buffer mode and 40-54V DC when operating on batteries. The battery charging current is regulated using a jumper and can be set to 0.5A, 1A or 2A, allowing for optimization of the charging process depending on the battery capacity. High efficiency at 87% translates to lower operating costs and less energy loss. The maximum power of the power supply is 270W. The power supply is adapted to work in networks with a voltage of 200-240V AC, which ensures wide compatibility.
