Intended Use and Application

RAVAK Professional X01201 sanitary silicone is a product dedicated to sealing and joining surfaces in wet bathroom areas—particularly where there is a risk of leaks and mold growth. It is ideal for use with shower trays, shower cabins, bathtubs, and shower trays, where a durable, waterproof barrier between different materials must be ensured.

For proper installation and sealing of a shower tray, exactly one 310 ml cartridge is required. It is not worth saving on quantity—too little silicone risks leakage, while too much wastes material and complicates seam smoothing.

What Makes It Stand Out?

• Bonds different materials — adheres effectively to glass, acrylic (PMMA), hardened polystyrene, aluminum, and lacquers, as well as to ceramic and stone wall and floor coverings. This is not ordinary silicone; it is a product specifically developed for RAVAK systems.

How Does It Work in Practice?

Installers know: if the seam between the shower tray and the floor fails, it's not just water leaking out. Moisture penetrates through the gap into the floor structure, mold develops, and eventually the entire bathroom section must be dismantled. This silicone prevents such scenarios.

It remains flexible after curing, so it does not crack under minor structural movements (e.g., when the bathtub is loaded). It maintains adhesion even during cyclic heating and cooling. One cartridge is sufficient for one shower tray—there is no need to buy two.

Important: before application, surfaces must be dry, clean, and free of grease. It cures within 24 hours, so avoid washing or using the area prematurely.

Why Is This Not "Just Another Silicone"?

Not all silicones are equal. This one was developed by the shower cabin manufacturer, so its composition is specifically tailored to the materials used in RAVAK products. Do not try to replace it with a "cheaper" option from a hardware store: it may adhere well initially, but after a year it may crack or begin to delaminate.
