Non-return valve BA295S-11/4B Backflow preventer, threaded, 1 1/4 inch, with union fittings BA295S-11/4A
Protection of installations and drinking water – reliable backflow preventer
This backflow preventer, made of dezincification-resistant brass (DZR), is a key element protecting water systems from contamination. Designed to protect drinking water, it meets the requirements of EN 1717 standard, ensuring safety and hygiene. The device effectively prevents back-siphonage and reverse flows, protecting the installation from potential contaminants.
Construction and application
The BA295S-11/4A valve is characterized by a solid construction and a well-thought-out technical solution. It has 1 1/4 inch threaded connections, which facilitates installation in existing systems. A built-in filter at the inlet further increases the level of protection by stopping mechanical impurities. Thanks to the triple protection – two check valves and a drain valve – the internal space of the valve is divided into three pressure zones, minimizing the risk of media mixing. It can be used in both residential, industrial and commercial buildings.
Key features and benefits
- High protection: Compliance with EN 1717 standard and contamination class 4 guarantees effective protection of the water system against contamination.
- Built-in filter: Increases water purity and extends the valve's life, reducing the need for frequent inspections.
- Simple service: The valve cartridge and outlet check valve are fully replaceable, making maintenance and repairs easier.
- Low pressure drop: Provides high flow rate while minimizing pressure loss in the installation (pressure drop at nominal flow is 1 bar).
- Durable construction: Made of dezincification-resistant brass (DZR) ensures long-lasting reliability and corrosion resistance.
- No dead zones: Eliminates the risk of stagnant water accumulation, which prevents the development of bacteria and contaminants.
- Approvals: Has approvals for drinking water and meets KTW recommendations, confirming its safety for users.
- Compact dimensions: Allows installation in limited space (built-in length: 180 mm; built-in length with screw connection: 272 mm; height: 277 mm).
The valve is characterized by a nominal flow rate of 8.5 m³/h and an operating pressure of 0.14 bar. The maximum medium temperature is 65°C, and the maximum inlet pressure is 10 bar. The gasket material is ethylene-propylene-diene monomer (EDPM) rubber, ensuring tight and durable connections.
