Control valve for installation on return pipes

The V5010Y0020 control valve from the Kombi-3-plus series has been specifically designed for installation on main return pipes and side branches in HVAC installations. This blue valve is a key component of the hydraulic balancing system, working in conjunction with the red V5000 valves installed on the supply side.

The DN20 model with a 3/4 inch connection diameter is made of dezincification-resistant brass (DZR), which guarantees long-term resistance to corrosion and material degradation. The valve body is made of brass, providing a robust construction capable of withstanding a working pressure of 16 bar in the PN16 class.

Operating parameters and medium compatibility

The device operates in a wide temperature range from -20°C to 130°C, handling water and water-glycol mixtures in accordance with the VDI 2035 standard.

A Kvs value of 6.4 with a Kv range of 0.68...6.4 ensures precise flow regulation. The valve is equipped with a static hydraulic balancing function and the possibility of pre-setting without the need for additional tools.

Construction and functionality

All valve functions are implemented via a single stem with a stem rotation angle of 45°, which simplifies operation and minimizes the risk of failure. The design includes a maintenance-free stem with double O-ring sealing and a PTFE seat seal, ensuring long-term tightness.

A clear pre-setting scale allows for precise setting of operating parameters without the risk of accidental configuration changes. The valve features a drain function and the ability to fill and empty the installation.

Expansion and servicing capabilities

The V5010Y0020 model can be equipped with a Kombi-DP (V5012) diaphragm controller without the need to interrupt the installation's operation - this applies to sizes DN10-DN40. This functionality allows for a later system upgrade from static to dynamic automatic balancing.

High pre-setting accuracy is achieved thanks to a wide scale range and the possibility of individual calibration of each product unit during production.

Universal threaded connections according to DIN EN 10226-1 standards enable the installation of both threaded steel pipes and copper or precision steel pipes with a diameter of 10-22mm using compression fittings and clamping screws for sizes DN10-DN20.
