3-way mixing valve with flanged connections, angular flow
The DR50FA valve is a 3-way mixing valve with angular flow, designed for stable temperature control in heating and air conditioning systems. Flanged connections (DN 50, PN 6) enable safe and leak-tight installation in high-flow systems – without the need for additional gaskets or adaptations. All three connections have identical length (95 mm) and outer diameter of 50 mm, simplifying design and installation.
The housing is made of grey cast iron GG 20 (GJL-200), and the surface is protected with a primer coating – a solution ensuring corrosion resistance in humid conditions and with water-glycol mixtures up to 50%. The valve plug is chrome-plated and lubricated with special grease, eliminating the risk of seizing during long-term operation. Two O-rings provide double sealing – one of them can be replaced without draining the entire system.
The flow characteristic is equal-percentage (constant percentage), while for the bypass it is linear. This allows precise control of mixing hot and cold water, even at low pressure differences. The Kvs value is 40, and leakage does not exceed 1% of this value – meaning minimal losses and stable operation under varying load conditions.
The valve operates in a temperature range from 2°C to 130°C, making it suitable for both low-temperature systems and traditional boilers. Medium: water or water-glycol mixture in accordance with VDI 2035. The angular flow enables flexible installation in limited spaces – e.g., at the connection between the boiler and the heating circuit.
The manufacturer's warranty is 5 years from the date of production – confirming the quality of workmanship and structural durability.
