Air conditioning control in alternating mode – AOC4IRB

The Rotenso AOC4IRB system is an intelligent solution for controlling air conditioning, particularly useful in installations with multiple units. It allows for efficient climate management by alternating the switching on and off of devices, which translates into even utilization of their resources and potential energy savings. This system is ideal for commercial applications, as well as in residential buildings with a large number of air conditioners.

Functionality and capabilities

AOC4IRB enables control of up to four air conditioners in rotational mode, without the need to use a computer. It works by emulating an infrared remote control signal, which means that a wireless remote control is required for each of the controlled air conditioners for proper operation – the signal from it is cloned by the controller. Additionally, the device monitors the ambient temperature using a digital sensor (included) and has a built-in alarm that is triggered when a set temperature threshold is exceeded. In such a situation, the controller can start all connected air conditioners and an external opto-acoustic signaling device (optional).

The controller offers a number of functions, such as:

• Alternating operation of two or four air conditioning units.
• Possibility of manual relay activation.
• Resetting the device to factory settings.
• Turning on or off rotational operation.
• Information about exceeding the set temperature threshold with alarm activation.

Construction and assembly

The device has been designed with easy installation and operation in mind. The controller housing is designed for mounting on a DIN rail (TS35), which facilitates integration with the existing electrical infrastructure. It is equipped with a 4” color touchscreen for easy configuration and data reading. The set also includes a stylus for operating the LCD screen and a 12V/2A power supply. Additionally, the controller has a 12V/1A power supply socket and a 12V battery output, which ensures continuous operation even in the event of a power failure. The set includes two IRDA infrared transmitters, which are responsible for communication with the controlled devices. It also has a normally open/normally closed (NO/NC) relay 6A/250V intended for a temperature sensor.
