Modern biological treatment plants with activated sludge – an effective and reliable solution
Biological treatment plant with activated sludge in the Micro-Star SBR reactor is an advanced device designed for effective treatment of domestic wastewater. The use of SBR (Sequential Batch Reactor) technology combined with the process of aerobic sludge stabilization guarantees high quality of treated water, meeting environmental standards of class C and D. This is an ideal solution for both installers looking for reliable systems and end-users who value ecological solutions and minimal operating costs.
Construction and operating principle
The Micro-Star treatment plant is characterized by a compact, single-tank construction made of high-density polyethylene (HDPE), which ensures its durability and corrosion resistance. The purification process is based on cyclic phases: aeration, sedimentation and discharge. The first chamber involves preliminary purification and denitrification, and the second – intensification of the biological process and sludge sedimentation. A key element is the tubular aerator placed in both chambers, which provides optimal conditions for the development of microorganisms responsible for the decomposition of pollutants. Aerobic sludge stabilization minimizes the formation of unpleasant odors and significantly extends the sludge removal intervals – even up to 3-5 years.
Advantages of use and installation
- Minimization of sludge removal frequency: Thanks to aerobic sludge stabilization, the need for its removal occurs much less frequently than in traditional SBR reactors, generating significant savings.
- Elimination of unpleasant odors: The aerobic stabilization process prevents sludge fermentation, eliminating the source of unpleasant odors.
- Compact design: The single-tank system simplifies installation and takes up less space than traditional solutions.
- High purification quality: SBR technology guarantees effective removal of organic pollutants and compliance with legal requirements regarding the quality of water discharged into the environment.
- Automatic control: The UNIT Micro-Star controller allows easy configuration and monitoring of the device's operation, as well as signaling any failures.
- Complete set: The set includes all the necessary elements for the proper functioning of the treatment plant: two-chamber tank, sludge and clear water lifts, tubular aerator, inspection hatch, controller, compressor and connecting hoses.
- Durable construction: The HDPE tank provides resistance to mechanical damage and corrosion.
Application
The Micro-Star treatment plant with a capacity of 0.6 m³/24h is designed to serve households of 1 to 6 people (1-6 PE). It will be perfect both for newly built building plots and for the modernization of existing sanitary installations. It is an ideal solution for people looking for ecological and economical wastewater treatment methods. It provides independence from the municipal sewage network and the possibility of safely discharging treated water to the ground or water reservoirs (in accordance with applicable regulations).
Important installation information
Remember to properly prepare the excavation for the tank – it should be 60 cm larger on each side in relation to the dimensions of the device. The bottom of the excavation should be level and stable (e.g. made of concrete or compacted gravel). It is also necessary to take into account the depth of soil freezing and maintain appropriate distances from other buildings in accordance with the Regulation of the Minister of Infrastructure on technical conditions that buildings and their location should meet and the Regulation of the Minister of Environment on conditions to be met when discharging wastewater to waters or to the ground. The construction of a domestic wastewater treatment plant with a capacity of up to 7.5 m³/day does not require a building permit – a building notification to the relevant county office and a notification of operation to the municipality are sufficient (Art. 30 paragraph 1 of the Building Law).
