Structural double-layer PEHD pipe – a solid solution for your installation
Structural double-layer PEHD pipe SPS DN/ID1200mm SN4 is a durable and versatile element of gravity drainage systems, road culverts, as well as for cable and conduit protection. Made of high-density polyethylene (PEHD), it is characterized by high resistance to mechanical and chemical damage, which guarantees long-lasting and trouble-free operation. The double-layer construction provides additional stiffness and stability, particularly important in loaded ground conditions.
Features and applications
PEHD spirally wound pipes, also known as spiro pipes, are ideal for applications requiring high strength and flexibility. They are readily chosen for the construction of gravity drainage systems, where efficient drainage of wastewater under the influence of gravity is important. Thanks to their construction, these pipes also work perfectly as road culverts, allowing water to pass safely under the surface. In addition, they can be used to protect cables and conduits from mechanical damage and corrosion.
Flexibility in project implementation: One of the key advantages of this pipe is the possibility of ordering sections with a length adapted to individual customer needs – even up to 30 meters in one piece. Standardly offered are 13.5-meter sections, adapted for transport on standard trucks, but the possibility of personalization greatly facilitates installation and minimizes the number of connections.
Product advantages in practice
- Strength and durability: PEHD material provides resistance to corrosion, chemicals and mechanical damage, which translates into a long service life of the pipe.
- Ring stiffness SN4: The SN4 parameter means appropriate pipe stiffness, ensuring installation stability even under high external loads.
- Easy installation: PEHD pipes can be connected using various socket or threaded connection methods, which facilitates and speeds up installation work.
- Low weight: Compared to traditional materials (e.g. concrete), PEHD pipes are much lighter, making them easier to transport and install.
- Resistance to weather conditions: The pipe retains its properties over a wide temperature range and does not degrade under the influence of UV radiation.
- Compliance with standards: The product meets the requirements of PN EN 13476-2 type A standard, which guarantees its safety and quality.
This pipe is particularly recommended where reliable connections and minimizing the risk of future failures are important - and this translates into savings for both the investor and the contractor.
