The structural double-layer PEHD pipe SPS DN/ID1400mm SN4 is a durable and versatile element of gravity drainage systems, road culverts, and for protecting cables and conduits. Made of high-density polyethylene (PEHD), it is characterized by high resistance to mechanical damage and corrosion, guaranteeing long-lasting and trouble-free operation. The double-layer construction provides adequate circumferential rigidity, and the external spiral reinforces the pipe, allowing its use in loaded soils.
Construction and application
The SPS pipe combines the advantages of spirally wound pipes and traditional PEHD pipes. The spiral construction provides high resistance to external loads, and the PEHD material guarantees chemical resistance and minimal water absorption. This makes the pipe perfect for demanding environmental conditions. It is ideal for building gravity drainage, but also finds application in road culverts, drainage, and as a cover for underground cables and conduits. It can also be used in ground heat exchangers.
Flexibility and adaptation to needs
One of the key advantages of this pipe is the ability to adjust the length of the section to the individual needs of the investor. Standardly offered are sections with a length of 13.5 m, adapted for transport on standard trucks, but the manufacturer offers the possibility of producing pipes with a length of up to 30 m in one section – which significantly reduces the number of connections and speeds up assembly. This is particularly important when implementing large infrastructure projects. The pipes are available in black, which makes them easier to identify on the construction site. The circumferential rigidity SN4 makes the pipe suitable for use in soils with a medium degree of load.
