Structural double-layer PEHD pipe – a solid solution for your infrastructure
The structural double-layer PEHD pipe SPS is a modern solution used in the construction of gravity sewer systems, road culverts, drainage, as well as for the protection of cables and conduits. Made of high-density polyethylene (PEHD), it is characterized by high strength and resistance to mechanical damage and corrosion. The double-layer construction provides rigidity and stability of the pipe, even under heavy loads.
This pipe is used in both municipal projects and industrial and individual construction. Its light weight compared to traditional materials makes transport and installation easier, which translates into time and cost savings. Thanks to the possibility of adjusting the length of pipe sections to individual customer needs – even up to 30 meters – the number of connections is minimized, increasing the tightness and reliability of the system. The standard section length is 13.5 meters, adapted for transport on standard trucks.
Construction features and application
PEHD pipes spirally wound type "A" are distinguished by a spiral structure of the walls, which provides them with high circumferential stiffness (SN8 in this case). This feature is particularly important in installations exposed to high external loads, e.g. under roads or construction sites. These pipes are designed for use in gravity systems, where wastewater is discharged under the influence of gravity. They can also be used as a cover for cables and conduits, protecting them from mechanical damage and environmental influences.
The application of PEHD SPS pipes is not only gravity sewage systems – they will also work in the construction of road culverts, drainage systems and as elements of ground heat exchangers. Their versatility makes them an ideal choice for a wide range of investments. The pipes meet the PN EN 13476-2 type A standard, which guarantees their high quality and safety of use.
Advantages of the structural PEHD pipe SPS
- Strength and durability: High-density polyethylene (PEHD) provides resistance to chemical corrosion and mechanical damage, guaranteeing long-term operation without the need for frequent repairs or replacements.
- Light weight: Compared to traditional materials (e.g. concrete), PEHD pipes are much lighter, making transport and installation easier – reducing costs associated with handling and labor intensity of installation.
- Flexibility: PEHD pipes are characterized by a certain flexibility, which allows them to absorb stresses resulting from ground movements or external loads – reducing the risk of cracks and damage.
- Adjustable length: Production of pipes with a length adapted to customer needs (up to 30 m) minimizes the number of connections, increasing the tightness of the system and reducing the risk of leaks.
- Smooth inner surface: Reduces flow resistance of wastewater, which translates into more efficient operation of the sewage system – limits the accumulation of sediment and blockages.
- Chemical resistance: The material is resistant to the action of most chemical substances present in municipal and industrial wastewater – ensures reliable operation for a long time.
