The iC60H-C20-2 circuit breaker is part of the iC60 series, designed to effectively protect electrical circuits against the effects of overloads and short circuits. This 2-pole circuit breaker with a rated current of 20A is versatile and can be used in both AC and DC installations. Its compact size – only 2 modules wide – allows for efficient use of space in the distribution board.

Functionality and design features

The design of the iC60H-C20-2 circuit breaker has been carefully thought out with ease of installation and operation in mind. The ability to directly connect two conductors of different cross-sections (1-25 mm² for solid and 1-16 mm² for stranded) simplifies installation. The VisiTrip indicator, signaling the tripping of the circuit breaker, in red, allows for quick identification of a faulty circuit. Additionally, the double locking mechanism allows the device to be removed without the need for tools and without removing the busbar. The VisiSafe indicator informs about the physical opening of the contacts, ensuring safety during maintenance work.

Characteristic C provides delayed tripping during short-term overloads, which is particularly important when servicing devices with motors or other inductive loads. The rated short-circuit breaking capacity (Icn) is 10 kA at 400V and 10 kA at 230V, and the Icu capacity according to IEC 60947-2 is 15 kA at 400V and 30 kA at 230V, respectively. The rated impulse withstand voltage Uimp is 6 kV. The energy limitation class is 3, which improves the cost of downstream circuit protection. The circuit breaker meets the requirements of IEC/EN 60947-2 and IEC/EN 60898-1 standards. The degree of protection IP20 provides protection against finger contact.
