High breaking capacity is one of the main advantages of this model. The circuit breaker guarantees safe disconnection of the circuit even at short-circuit currents up to 10 kA (according to EN 60898) and up to 20 kA in industrial conditions (IEC 60947-2 standard at 230 V). Energy limiting class 3 ensures rapid extinction of the electric arc, minimizing thermal and mechanical damage to the installation during a fault. The rated insulation voltage is 500 V, and the impulse withstand voltage reaches 6 kV, making it suitable for use in environments with an increased degree of pollution (degree 3) and overvoltage category IV.
Mounting flexibility and compatibility with distribution boards
The device's design is intended for convenient handling both during installation and subsequent operation. A width of 6 standard modules allows for efficient use of space in modular distribution boards, while a mounting depth of 44 mm facilitates installation in standard enclosures. The device accepts conductors with cross-sections from 1 to 50 mm² (single-core) and from 1 to 35 mm² (multi-core), providing great freedom in selecting cabling compliant with the electrical installation design.
The possibility of additional equipment opens the way to expanding the functionality of the protection system. Auxiliary modules, such as signal contacts or alarm relays, can be connected to the circuit breaker, allowing for remote monitoring of the circuit status or integration with building automation systems. The expected mechanical durability of 20,000 cycles and electrical durability (for the current range) ensure long and reliable operation even in conditions requiring frequent switching operations.
Operating conditions and environmental parameters
The device is adapted to work in a wide range of ambient temperatures, from -25 °C to +70 °C, making it a universal solution not only for industrial and office interiors but also for technical rooms with more difficult thermal conditions. The rated operating frequency includes standard power grids: 50 Hz and 60 Hz. The IP20 protection rating protects against contact with dangerous live parts via finger access, which is standard for devices mounted in closed modular distribution boards (where the assembly reaches IP40).
