Miniature circuit breaker for comprehensive electrical installation protection

The iC60H-B20-4 miniature circuit breaker is a professional solution for protecting electrical circuits against the effects of overloads and short circuits in residential, commercial, and industrial installations. The four-pole design with a rated current of 20A utilizes characteristic B, which ensures instantaneous tripping at 3-5- times the rated current - ideal for resistive loads such as lighting or household appliances.

Design and functionality

The device features innovative operating status indicators. The red-and-white VisiTrip signals trips caused by electrical faults, significantly reducing the time required to locate a damaged circuit during service interventions. Additionally, the green VisiSafe informs about the physical opening of the contacts, guaranteeing complete safety during maintenance work on the downstream circuit.

The design allows for the direct connection of two wires of different cross-sections - single-core from 1 to 25 mm² and multi-core from 1 to 16 mm². A double latching system allows for the removal of a single device without the need to remove the busbar and the removal of the device from the DIN rail without tools. IP20 insulated screw terminals ensure safe wire connections both from the top and bottom of the device.

Operating parameters and breaking capacities

The circuit breaker is characterized by high breaking capacity parameters: 10 kA according to EN 60898 at 230V/400V and 15 kA according to IEC 60947-2 at 400V. At 230V, it reaches an impressive 30 kA, making it suitable even for high-demand installations.

Energy limiting class 3 significantly improves the cost of downstream circuit protection by reducing the short-circuit energy reaching the fault location. The device operates in a wide ambient temperature range from -35°C to +70°C, maintaining full functionality in harsh environmental conditions.

The insulation voltage is 500V, and the withstand impulse voltage reaches 6 kV. The device width is a standard 4 DIN modules, and the installation depth is only 44.5 mm, facilitating installation in switchboards with limited space.
