Modular auxiliary contact for automation systems

The Acti9 OF auxiliary contact is a compact solution designed specifically for applications requiring precise device status signaling in automation and control systems. Thanks to an operating current range from 2mA to 100mA and support for AC/DC voltages, the device performs well in both PLC applications and traditional signaling systems.

Electrical parameters and operating range

The device operates at voltages from 24VAC to 240VAC, as well as in DC systems from 24VDC to 220VDC. One C/O (Change Over) changeover contact allows for flexible configuration as NO (Normally Open) or NC (Normally Closed) according to application needs.

The insulation voltage is up to 500V, and the impulse withstand voltage reaches 4kV. The maximum current for the main contacts can be 63A.

Construction and mounting capabilities

The compact design occupies only 0.5 modules (9mm width) on a standard DIN rail. The device dimensions are 9 × 85.3 × 68mm, and the weight is only 30g.

The connection system uses screw terminals both at the top and bottom. The top connectors support rigid wires with a cross-section of 0.5÷2.5mm². The bottom ones allow for the connection of two flexible wires with a cross-section of 1.5mm². The tightening torque is 1N.m for a PZ1 screwdriver.

Applications and compatibility

The OF contact is compatible with a wide range of Schneider Electric devices from the Acti9 series: C120, C60H-DC, SW60-DC, and C60PV-DC. It can be mounted on both residual current devices and circuit breakers.

It is used in new and modernized installations for small commercial facilities, public buildings, or critical infrastructure. It works particularly well in applications where Open/Closed status reporting to automation systems or monitoring via PLC I/O modules requiring a current from 2mA is required.

Operating conditions and safety

The device maintains full functionality at operating temperatures from -25°C to +70°C, and the storage temperature ranges from -40°C to +85°C. The IP20 protection rating protects against contact with live parts.

The product meets the requirements of international EN/IEC and Chinese GB/T standards regarding electromechanical control equipment. It holds CE and UKCA certificates confirming compliance with European technical regulations, as well as EAC and CCC quality marks enabling distribution in Eurasian and Chinese markets.
