Professional control station for E-stop systems

The XAPK1501 control station is an empty metal enclosure designed for emergency stop functions within the Harmony XAP series. Made of zinc alloy in yellow (RAL1004), it serves as a universal solution for Ø22mm buttons from the XB4 and XB5 series.

Construction and technical dimensions

The enclosure, with dimensions of 80×80×77mm, provides a compact form while maintaining optimal internal space. A usable depth of 74.5mm guarantees convenient wiring without access issues to connections. One central hole of Ø22.5mm allows for the mounting of any type of E-stop button—both with and without a legend plate.

The design features two M20 threads for ISO cable glands, ensuring full compliance with the IEC 62444 standard. Four mounting holes allow for installation in both vertical and horizontal positions, providing installation flexibility in various machine configurations.

Protection and safety

The enclosure offers multi-level protection: an ingress protection rating of IP65/IP67/IP69 protects against dust and water even in harsh industrial conditions. Class I electrical shock protection according to EN/IEC 61140 and IK07 mechanical impact resistance according to EN/IEC 62262 ensure safe operation.

The enclosure meets the requirements of EN/IEC 60529 and EN/IEC 60947-5-1 standards and holds international certificates: CE, UL, cULus, and EAC, confirming its compliance with the highest quality standards.

Industrial applications and customization

The product was specifically designed for OEM manufacturers who require solutions meeting the demands of heavy-duty applications such as material handling, the food industry, wind turbines, or mining. The enclosure weighs only 0.6kg, facilitating installation without overloading the machine structure.

The possibility of full customization via the Harmony online selector and configurator allows the interface to be adapted to the specific needs of the application. Two legend plate holder sizes are available, along with the option to mount them in different positions—all of which impact the ergonomics of operation and the aesthetics of the final product.

An operating temperature from -40°C to +70°C and resistance to chemical agents ensure that the enclosure will perform in the most demanding industrial environments for many years of operation.
