With a rated current of 10 A and characteristic C, the device is dedicated to circuits supplying motor-driven equipment or other loads that generate short-term current surges during startup. This prevents nuisance tripping and ensures stable operation even under dynamic load changes.

Protection against electric shock is provided by a sensitivity of 30 mA (0.03 A) for alternating current (Type A), which is a mandatory standard for domestic and office installations. In the event of a detected leakage current, the device reacts immediately by disconnecting the power supply. Notably, the device has a short-circuit breaking capacity of 6 kA, meaning it can safely interrupt a short-circuit current of this magnitude without damaging its internal structure. Energy limitation class 3 provides additional protection against the effects of short circuits by minimizing energy flow during the fault duration.

Ease of Installation and Installation Status Diagnostics

For installers, ease of connection and system reliability are paramount. In this model, the neutral terminal (N) is located on the left side, facilitating busbar connections and maintaining a logical wiring layout in distribution cabinets. The device accommodates conductors with cross-sections from 1 to 25 mm² (solid) and from 1 to 16 mm² (stranded), offering great flexibility when working with various cable types. A width of 2 standard modules allows mounting on a DIN rail without the need for additional adapters or extensions.

Device status diagnostics have been simplified through visual indicators:

• Visi-Trip indicator (white-red) signals electrical tripping – i.e., activation of short-circuit or overload protection.
• Visi-Safe indicator (green) confirms physical contact opening, which is crucial for safety during maintenance work.
• The two-part lever enables quick identification of the trip cause – whether it was due to overload/short circuit or earth leakage current.

Additionally, the device features a mechanism lock and the ability to test proper operation via the "T" button. Note that this test is recommended once a year for the first 7 years of device operation. IP20 protection rating ensures safety against contact with moving parts and objects larger than 12 mm, while the operating temperature range from -5°C to 40°C allows installation in typical indoor conditions.

Applications and Compliance with Standards

This device is ideally suited for single-phase (AC) installations where compact protection of final socket or lighting circuits is required. In accordance with standard EN 61009-1, the device meets rigorous requirements for surge immunity (surge voltage class III) and insulation withstand voltage (400 V). The rated impulse withstand voltage is 4 kV, ensuring resistance to typical disturbances occurring in power networks.

Characteristic C ensures that the circuit breaker responds more slowly to short current surges, making it well-suited for starting motor-driven equipment such as pumps and fans. A switching capacity of 6 kA ensures safety even during high-current short circuits in modern distribution networks. The large conductor cross-section up to 25 mm² allows connection of thick supply cables without the need for reducing terminals for smaller cross-sections.

The device has been designed to be compatible with standard fork-type busbars available on the Polish market, facilitating the creation of compact "fork-busbar" distribution boards. This makes the installation of multiple such devices side-by-side quick and aesthetically pleasing, while ensuring mechanically stable and electrically safe connections.
