Fuse base for electrical installations

This single-pole fuse base, designated A9N15646, is part of the Acti9 STI series from Schneider Electric. Designed for mounting on a DIN rail, it provides a solid and secure connection for 10x38 mm fuses. It is a key component in short-circuit and overload protection systems, used in both domestic and industrial installations.

Design and installation

The base is designed for easy and quick mounting on a standard DIN rail. Compact dimensions – 1 module wide (18 mm) and 44 mm deep – allow for optimal use of space in the distribution board. The locking mechanism provides additional safety and prevents the fuse from accidentally coming loose. An optical trip indicator facilitates quick identification of a blown fuse, significantly reducing fault location time.

Application and compatibility

The base is compatible with 10x38 mm fuses and designed to operate at a rated voltage of 500 V. Its design allows for 1+N-pole circuits, increasing installation flexibility. The IP20 degree of protection guarantees protection against finger contact, which is important from a safety point of view. It does not disconnect the N-pole simultaneously, which should be considered when designing protection systems.
