Modular contactor iCT50-16-10-220 16A 1NO 50Hz 220 VAC A9C22511
Modular contactor for remote control of loads.
This modular contactor, designated A9C22511, is part of the Acti9 series from Schneider Electric. It is designed for remote control of various loads, such as lighting, small motors (e.g., in fans or mixers), and HVAC systems. Its compact size and DIN rail mounting make it an ideal solution for both professional installers and end users.
Characteristics and application
The iCT50-16-10-220 contactor allows for safe and efficient switching of loads with a rated current of up to 16A at 220 VAC. It has one normally open (1NO) contact, which means it can be used to switch circuits on and off. An optical indicator of the output contact status facilitates diagnostics and device operation control. The ability to expand with additional auxiliary contacts increases its functionality and adaptability to different needs. The rated operating voltage is 250 V AC.
Advantages and benefits
- Compact dimensions: A width of only 1 module makes it easy to install in tight switchboards.
- High reliability: Electrical endurance reaches 100,000 cycles for AC-7A or AC-1, and 30,000 cycles for AC-7C, AC-3, AC-5A or AC-5B.
- Versatility: Compatible with all Acti 9 control devices, providing flexibility in the design of automation systems.
- Safety: Protection degree IP20 provides basic protection against contact and ingress of solid objects. In the enclosure, the degree of protection increases to IP40.
- Wide range of applications: Ideal for use in residential, commercial and industrial buildings.
- Short-circuit capacities: Depending on the rated current and voltage, it may have higher short-circuit capacities than competitive solutions – eliminating the need for additional fuses (iC60N has Icu - 50kA from 0.5 to 4 A, and 10 kA from 6 to 63 A).
- VisiSafe and VisiTrip indicators: Allow for quick identification of the device status – whether the contacts have stuck or whether a trip has occurred (short circuit or leakage current).
The maximum switching capacity for incandescent bulbs is 2000 W, for fluorescent lamps – 850 VA (up to 1500 VA with DUO compensation and 800 VA with parallel compensation). The device operates at a frequency of 50 Hz.
