The iSW-40-1 isolator is a reliable device designed for safely isolating electrical circuits. Equipped with a rated current of 40A and a single-pole design, it is a key element in electrical installations requiring effective isolation and protection. Its compact dimensions – only 1 module wide – allow for easy mounting on a TH35 rail, saving valuable space in the distribution board.

Application and design features

The device finds wide application in both domestic and industrial installations where it is necessary to isolate sections of the circuit during maintenance or service work. The rated switching capacity of 5kA provides effective protection against the effects of short circuits. The isolator design is designed for durability and reliability – it withstands up to 15,000 electrical cycles and 20,000 mechanical cycles. An important element is forced separation according to DIN VDE 0113, guaranteeing complete safety when working with the installation.

Visi-Safe indicator and expansion options

A key feature of this isolator is the Visi-Safe indicator, which visually confirms the opening of the contacts, eliminating the risk of accidental re-energizing the circuit during maintenance work. In addition, the isolator offers the possibility of expansion by optionally equipping it with a door drive, auxiliary contact or plug-in base, which increases its functionality and adapts it to the individual needs of the installation. Thanks to this, one product can perform different roles depending on the project requirements.
