Modular contactor iCT60-16-11-230 16A 1NO+1NC 60Hz 220/240 VAC A9C22615

Remote control of medium power consumption circuits

This device is a solution for the automatic switching on and off of electrical circuits where remote or programmed operation is required. Thanks to its use of a modular housing with a width of one module (18 mm), it fits perfectly into densely packed distribution boards, without taking up unnecessary space on the DIN rail. The main task of this contactor is the safe switching of resistive and motor loads with a rated current of up to 16 A at an operating voltage of 250 V.

It is worth noting the specifics of its application in lighting and ventilation installations. The device supports AC-7a type loads (small motors, fans) and AC-1 (resistive loads). For typical incandescent and halogen bulbs, the switching capacity reaches 2000 W, allowing for the control of larger lighting groups without the need for additional intermediate relays. In the case of compact or fluorescent lamps, the device handles inrush current thanks to various compensation modes – from 800 VA with parallel compensation up to 1500 VA in the DUO configuration.

Contact configuration and mounting flexibility

A key design feature is the presence of two independent contact circuits: one normally open (NO) and one normally closed (NC). This configuration (1NO+1NC) gives the installer great freedom in designing control diagrams, e.g., for switching between two power sources or for signaling the device status. The contacts are designed to withstand up to 100,000 switching cycles for light loads (AC-7a/AC-1), while for more demanding motor operating conditions (AC-7b/AC-3), this endurance is approximately 30,000 cycles.

Mounting is performed standardly on a DIN rail, which is consistent with commonly used standards in domestic and industrial distribution boards. The installation depth is 43.5 mm, which should be taken into account when planning the depth of the distribution box. Screw terminals allow for the connection of wires with an appropriate cross-section, adapted to the rated current of 16 A. The IP20 protection rating ensures safety against contact with moving parts by unauthorized persons, and if installed in a dedicated enclosure, this rating can be increased to IP40.

Application in HVAC systems and building automation

The device finds wide application in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, where remote control of fans, mixers, or electric heaters is necessary. The control coil voltage is 240 V AC (the operating range includes standard 220/240 V networks), making it compatible with most simple building automation systems and time switches. The absence of a "day/night" function or a manual override switch means that the device operates solely under the influence of an electrical signal, which simplifies its operating logic and reduces the number of potential mechanical failure points.

For installers, the possibility of expanding the device with additional Acti9 auxiliary modules is also important, allowing functionality to be adapted to growing system requirements without replacing the entire contactor. The device complies with strict IEC/EN 61095 standards regarding the safety of electrical motor control devices and has insulation class II, which guarantees additional operator safety during potential service work with the main voltage switched off.

The cross-section dedicated to the cable will always depend on the amperage of the camera.
One iC60 circuit breaker complies with two standards, construction and industrial - EN/IEC 60 898 and EN/IEC 60 947-2.
2nd class of insulation.
The short-circuit capacity, depending on the value of the rated current and voltage, may be correspondingly higher (iC60N has Icu - 50kA in the current ranges from 0.5 to 4 A, and 10 kA from 6 to 63 A, iC60H has Icu = 70 kA from 0, 5 to 4 A and 15 kA from 6 to 63 A, iC60L has Icu = 100 kA from 0.5 to 4 A and Icu = 25 kA for 6 to 63 A), so there is no need for
