The socket is designed for flush mounting, which provides an aesthetic look of the installation. It is equipped with IDC knife-type terminals, which facilitate and speed up the process of connecting wires. The arrangement of terminals in one line minimizes the risk of wire straining in the installation box, which translates into easier installation and correct network operation. Solid claws with a self-return function guarantee stable and secure seating of the socket in the box. It is worth remembering that Sedna Design & Elements products are not compatible with the Sedna series – frames and mechanisms from the same line should be used.

Functionality and characteristics

The RJ45 Cat. 6 UTP socket provides data transmission at a speed suitable for most modern network applications. The lack of shielding of the socket and housing makes it an economical solution, ideal for home and office use where strong electromagnetic interference does not occur. The IP20 degree of protection protects against accidental contact and the ingress of solid objects larger than 12.5 mm. Thanks to its compact dimensions (73 mm wide, 73 mm high and 35 mm deep), the socket easily fits into a standard flush-mount box. The possibility of color coding and creating your own design solutions increases the flexibility of the installation and allows it to be adapted to individual user needs. Additionally, the presence of a connection diagram on the mechanism facilitates quick identification of the terminals and correct connection of the device by the installer.
