This residual current module is a solution dedicated to expanding Acti9 iC60 series miniature circuit breakers, providing protection against electric shock in three-phase circuits. The device, with a rated current of 63 A and a sensitivity of 30 mA (type A), detects even small earth leakage currents, which is crucial for human safety and protecting equipment from damage resulting from short circuits. Thanks to the use of thermomagnetic technology, the module reacts instantaneously to the occurrence of dangerous residual current, eliminating the risk of delays in protective action.

Application and compatibility in distribution boards

This module is designed for mounting directly to the right of iC60N or iC60H series miniature circuit breakers. This design allows for the creation of compact protective sets without the need for additional busbars or large enclosures. This is particularly useful in distribution boards where space optimization is important, while full functionality of electric shock protection is required.

The device performs well in installations powered by a voltage of 400–415 V AC at a frequency of 50/60 Hz. Type A means that the module effectively detects sinusoidal residual currents as well as pulsating DC, making it a universal component in single-family homes, offices, and industrial facilities where devices with rectifiers or single-phase motors are present.

Operation of the device is possible in a wide range of ambient temperatures: from -25 °C to +60 °C, allowing for its installation in unheated technical rooms or production halls. Power losses are low, amounting to only 2.3 W, which minimizes module heating during long-term operation under load.

It is worth remembering to regularly test the protective function using the built-in test button – this is a simple task that confirms the efficiency of the entire protection system without the need to cause an actual short circuit.
