Electric vehicle charging station protection
The Acti9 iID residual current circuit breaker has been specifically designed to protect electric vehicle charging stations, providing comprehensive protection against electric shock from direct or indirect contact as well as fire protection. The device performs the function of disconnecting electrical circuits in the event of a ground fault.
The B-EV type is characterized by an instantaneous tripping time at a differential current of 30mA, guaranteeing a rapid response to dangerous situations. Voltage-independent technology ensures reliable operation even during supply voltage fluctuations.
Design and functional features
The modular DIN rail design with a width of 4 modules (72mm) allows for easy installation in distribution boards. The installation depth is only 44mm, allowing for space savings in the installation.
An exceptional feature is the Visitrip indicator - a mechanical indicator on the front of the device showing the tripped pole, significantly reducing service intervention time. Additionally, the VisiSafe window with a green strip on the switch signals full pole opening, enabling safe maintenance work.
Double front terminals support single-core wires (1-35mm²) and stranded wires (1-25mm²), providing connection flexibility.
Operating and environmental parameters
The device operates in an ambient temperature from -25°C to +60°C at a frequency of 50Hz and a rated voltage of 230V AC. The IP20 protection rating protects against finger contact and against access by tools with a diameter greater than 12mm.
Mechanical endurance reaches 20000 cycles, and electrical endurance reaches 15000 operating cycles. The rated making/breaking capacity is Idm/Im = 1500A, and the conditional short-circuit current is Inc/IΔc = 10kA.
Insulation voltage Ui = 250V and impulse withstand voltage Uimp = 6kV ensure safe operation in industrial installations. Power loss is only 0.53W, which minimizes energy consumption during normal operation.
The device meets the requirements of IEC/EN 61008-2-1 and IEC/EN 62423 standards and holds VDE NF IMQ KEMA certificates confirming the highest standards of quality and safety.
