Branch distribution block – reliable connection of Al/Cu wires
The SCB 25 SIMBLOCK distribution block is a solid solution for connecting aluminum and copper wires in electrical installations. Designed for both construction and industrial applications, it provides safe and durable connections in distribution boards, control cabinets, and when connecting devices. The block's design allows for easy mounting on a TS 35 rail, and its compact dimensions (width 17.8 mm) allow for optimal use of space.
Design and application
The SCB 25 block allows the connection of wires with a cross-section from 2.5 mm² to 25 mm² (solid) and from 1.5 mm² to 16 mm² (stranded with ferrule). It is compatible with round and sector wires made of copper or aluminum. Therefore, it finds application in various AC/DC installations with a rated voltage of up to 1000V. This block can also be used as a simple series connector.
Advantages and benefits for the installer and user
- Compact size: The module width of only 17.8 mm saves space in distribution cabinets and enables efficient use of space.
- Safe mounting: The block housing prevents the falling out of clamping screws, eliminating the risk of losing elements during work and facilitating assembly. Additionally, the design is finger-safe according to DIN EN 50274.
- Connection durability: Each wire is fixed with two clamping screws, ensuring a stable and reliable electrical connection. The durability of the blocking clamps in the SCB core guarantees long-term operation.
- Easy installation: Mounting on a standard TS 35 rail is simple and quick. The modular system allows stacking and connecting the blocks together.
- Versatility: The SCB 25 block is designed for aluminum and copper wires of various cross-sections, increasing its versatility.
- Compliance with standards: The product meets the requirements of IEC 60947-7-1 and RoHS directives, confirming its safety and high quality.
- Current resistance: The rated current for copper wires is 152A (with a cross-section of 2x16mm²) or 101A (with a cross-section of 1x25mm²), while for aluminum wires – 100A (with a cross-section of 1x25mm²).
The SCB 25 SIMBLOCK is an investment in a safe and reliable electrical installation that will meet the requirements of even the most demanding applications.
