Cable gel sleeve – reliable connection protection

The MGB5 cable gel sleeve from SIMET is a practical solution for protecting electrical connections from moisture, dust and other external factors. Designed for 5x2.5 mm² cables, it provides effective insulation and durability of connections in both internal and external installations. Its compact dimensions (38 x 18 x 60 mm) allow for easy installation even in limited spaces, e.g. in junction boxes.

Construction and properties

Made of durable, UV-resistant and halogen-free polypropylene, the sleeve guarantees long-term operation without the risk of material degradation. The interior filled with insulating gel further strengthens protection against water and contaminants, achieving an IP68 protection rating – which means complete hermeticity. This ensures that connections are safe even in harsh environmental conditions.

Installation and application

Installing the sleeve is extremely simple and does not require the use of specialized tools. Simply remove the insulation from the wires, insert them into the openings in the quick connector, place the connector in the sleeve immersing it in the gel, and then close the housing with a snap. The MGB5 sleeve is ideal for connecting wires in electrical installations of residential, commercial and industrial buildings, as well as in lighting and alarm systems. The ability to install several quick connectors in one sleeve allows for optimal use of space and reduces installation costs.
