The limiter is intended for connection to the DC side of photovoltaic installations with a voltage range up to 1000V. The device contains a non-linear element (varistor) and is designed to limit surge voltages and reverse surge currents. Only designed to be mounted on the DC side of PV generators and the DC side of inverters.
