A feature of the water meter well is the operation on the thermos principle. The lack of a bottom in the well and hermetic closure allows to maintain a positive temperature inside the well, the source of which is the heat of the earth. The upper part of the well is insulated inside and out, which protects it against freezing. By installing the water meter about 30 cm under the cover and the thermal plug, it prevents freezing of the connections. Due to the lack of a bottom in the well, we can install it in areas with a high level of groundwater without fear of displacement forces, which enables the meter to be read without the need to remove the water.
